The discovery of a new Hebrew inscription in a house in the old Jewish quarter of Barcelona has revealed a new epigraphic sample in a hitherto unstudied domestic context. As a result, it has been possible to reinterpret other inscription fragments that until now had been associated to a funerary and reuse context. Two holes for mezuzahs have also been located in the same building, an architectural element that has been scarcely studied. These new discoveries open the path to new interpretations and studies on daily life in Barcelona’s Jewish quarter.
