Within the Corpus Tannaiticum and taking as a point of departure the text of Sanh 4,5, the author studies different types of final clauses: lě- + infinitive, še- as a final and exegetical particle, the use of bišḇil še- in nominal and verbal clauses, the use and value of kěḏê lě- and kěḏê še-, and the origin and use of šemma’.
