After the presentation by the authors of the so-called recensio of the manuscript witnesses of Shem Tob Ibn Falaquera's Sefer ha-ma‛alôṯ, it is published here for the first time the critical edition of a passage, quoted in the above work, from a lost writing of abü Naṣr al-Fārābī, that considerably enlarges what was already known through the Arabian doxographers.
