Abstract

The article describes a Judeo-Spanish manuscript from the Firkovitch Collection in St. Petersburg. It is a fragment of a chivalry novel, with all features typical of the genre: scenes of battles and love, witchcraft and courage. Unfortunately, neither the beginning nor the end of the manuscript is preserved, and at present it is not possible to identify the fragment with any of the known chivalry novels. Some hints indicate that the text was written by (or adapted for) Jews.
