The present article deals with a Sephardic copla recently found, namely The Jews at the Sinai. Its publication as well as the whole edition in which it is included (Thessalonik, 1786) justify a re-evaluation and a new partial study of the extant corpus of ten Shabuoth coplas. The study presents a description of the publication, discusses the authorship of the text, and provides a critical edition of the copla, including a commentary of the Biblical and Rabbinic sources on which it is based, and a metrical and linguistic analysis.
