In the present study, its author has edited the six extant fragments of the Midrash Song of Songs Rabbah, originally discovered in the Cairo Genizah, though now in the Cambridge University Library. The author analyzes the fragments' orthographic as well as morphosyntactic and literary peculiarities, and, in addition, compares these fragmentary readings against other manuscript and printed versions of this same Midrash. Details derived from careful analysis of these fragments point to an early date of composition; they also provide a basis for a just appreciation of the texts.
