Abstract

The present study is concerned with the living of the Jews residing in Illueca in the 15th century; it is based on the documents of notary deeds kept in the archives of Notarial Protocols of Zaragoza, Calatayud and La Almunia de Doña Godina. It gives an account of the organization of the aljama: sinagogue, butchery, censos and comandas, and relationships of Jewish people between themselves, with the Christian community and with the lords Martínez de Luna. Concerning the Jewish families in the village, it records the names, particular data and different activities of their members, as well as the mention of the districts of Illueca where the Jews had their properties.
