Abstract

The manuscript G-II-5 kept in the Royal Library of El Escorial contains a grammatical work attibuted to Abraham ibn ⁽Ezra⁾ (ca. 1092-1167). It deals with the morphology of the Hebrew verb: general statements and characteristics of sound and defective verbs. The author of this article analyses some specific features of that Sefer Diqdûq in comparison with their parallels in other works soundly attributed to Ibn ⁽Ezra⁾. He comes to the conclusion that the content of the mentioned manuscript, still unpublished, cannot be Ibn ⁽Ezra⁾'s work. Some illustrative pages are reproduced.
