This paper brings into light unknown documents from the Archives of the Orders of Calatrava and Alcantara which provide new data about the history of the El Transito Sinagogue during the four centuries it was used as a Christian chapel. For a better understanding of this history, three periods have been established: 1) from the date it was built up to 1492; 2) from 1492 to the 19th century; 3) the 20th century.
