We have a extensive collection of piyyutim written in Judeo-Spanish, most of them translated from Hebrew. In this article, I analyze the characteristics that these texts should have in order to be considered as coplas. The analysis is based on the Judeo-Spanish versions of the piyyutim Im afes and Aḥot quetaná.
